HDMI Repairs
One of the most classic repairs we encounter is the broken hdmi port. We’re not sure why– we joke they were installed with spit and a prayer from the factory! (There’s hardly any solder on the pins inside.) Needless to say it is a very common signature failure of the Playstation, Xbox Series X, Series S and in particular, the PS5.
iDropped warranties the hdmi port for one year. Few other places will match that or hold up their word.
Turnaround time depends on the shop and their que, but most of the time it ranges from Same Day to a few days.

Overheating, shutting down and other issues
The next most common issue with game consoles is overheating and shutting down. Most of the time this indicates it needs an internal deep clean and Liquid Metal (a modern type of thermal paste) replaced. iDropped can fix that for you so you can jump back in your game soon!
Other issues include issues with the fan, the power supply, disk drive, software, USB ports, ethernet ports, and issues with the power circuits on the board.
Controller Repair– from Stick Drift to Button Replacement
iDropped also repairs controllers! The most common repair is for stick drift. Stick drift occurs when a joystick registers movement without user input, causing unintended motion. We can even add Hall Effect joysticks, which will nearly guarantee to end all stick drift issues for life.
Occasionally we are called upon to fix issues with controller buttons as well. We got you!
One other super-cool thing we can do is customize the controllers. We’ve created custom plated controllers (not just skins!) that are game-themed like GTA and Spiderman. We can also add in lights. The sky is the limit! It’s the perfect gift for the gamer in your life.
